This Privacy Policy describes how UniTekra Solutions Private Limited ("UniTekra", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and discloses your information when you use PGMS (Paying Guest Management System) — our mobile application available on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store — and related services (collectively, the "Service").
By using PGMS, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

We collect information you provide directly, automatically through your use of the app, and in some cases from third parties.
1.1 Information You Provide
- Full Name: Used for account registration, tenant profiles, and owner profiles.
- Email Address: Used for account creation, authentication, communication, and service notifications.
- Phone Number: Used for contact between tenants and PG owners, and for OTP-based verification.
- Profile Photos & Document Images: Uploaded voluntarily for tenant ID verification or profile pictures. Stored securely in our cloud infrastructure.
- Payment Information: Rent payment details (transaction IDs, payment status). We do not store raw card numbers; payments are processed via certified third-party gateways.
- Address & Location Details: PG property addresses entered by PG owners/managers.
1.2 Information Collected Automatically
- Device Information: Device model, operating system version, unique identifiers, and mobile network information.
- Usage Data: Features accessed, pages visited, time spent, crash reports, and performance data.
- Log Data: IP address, access times, and referring URLs.
1.3 Permissions We May Request
- Camera & Photo Library: To allow uploading profile pictures or document scans.
- Notifications: To send rent reminders, payment confirmations, and service updates.
- Storage: To cache application data for offline functionality.
You may revoke any permission at any time through your device settings. Revoking permissions may limit certain features.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To create and manage your PGMS account
- To facilitate rent payments, generate receipts, and maintain payment history
- To enable communication between PG owners and tenants
- To send important service notifications, reminders, and alerts
- To verify user identity and prevent fraud
- To improve, personalise, and develop the Service
- To diagnose technical problems and ensure platform security
- To comply with legal obligations
We do not use your personal data for unsolicited marketing or sell it to any third party for advertising purposes.
3. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share your information only in the following circumstances:
3.1 Service Providers
Trusted third-party providers (cloud hosting, payment processing, analytics) are contractually obligated to keep your information confidential and use it only to provide the requested services.
3.2 Within the PGMS Platform
Certain profile information (name, phone number) may be visible to the other party in a tenancy relationship — e.g., a PG owner can see their tenant's name and contact.
3.3 Legal Requirements
We may disclose your information if required by law, court order, or governmental authority.
3.4 Business Transfers
In the event of a merger or acquisition, your information may be transferred to the acquiring entity under the same privacy protections.
4. Data Retention
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. When you request account deletion, we will delete or anonymise your personal information within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

We implement industry-standard technical and organisational security measures including:
- Encryption of data in transit using TLS/SSL
- Encryption of sensitive data at rest
- Role-based access control for internal systems

No method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

We may update this policy periodically. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last Updated" date and, where appropriate, sending a notification through the app. Continued use of PGMS after changes constitutes acceptance.
